TIME TO GO?
ON NAWAZ SHARIF'S WHISTLESTOP FOREIGN TRIPS

It is becoming difficult to keep track of our Hermes of a prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif as he wings his way around the globe. One really must admire the sheer stamina of the man, if he is just simply a man and not superman.
Who could rush as he just done form Islamabad, narrowly missing Karachi, over fly the vast continent of Africa, cross the expansive Atlantic and land half-way across the world on the distant shores of Rio de Janeiro? Who could pause there only long enough to catch enough wind for a brief speech on environmental issues and then fly back to Seville in Spain for a quick visit to the Expo 92, then go on the United Kingdom to review a line of Grenadier guards in Downing Street, swap cricketing anecdotes with his fellow Prime Minister John Major, grant the Queen a private audience at Windsor, and address British Pakistanis before rushing home, again narrowly missing Karachi?
