One wonders why she felt the need, for being pregnant yet again since 1980 cannot be an enjoyable experience, particularly for someone her age. Surely no forty-six year old would endure the discomfort of morning sickness, nausea, heartburn, high blood pressure, aches and anemia, unless she desperately wanted to, or had to. |
| Pakistan is pregnant again, with yet another general election. Paralleling, the achievement of medical science which had made it possible through the miracle of the implantation of fertilized embryos, for grandmothers to become mothers again, a quirk of political science has caused the body politic of Pakistan to accept the unplanned burden of gestating and delivering an infant government on 6 October 1993. Which one of the numerous embryonic parties for being the strongest will emerge first? And will the other weaker ones which follow accept a lower ranking? |
