YOUNG ICARUS
ON A WANNA-BE AVIATOR

You stood like young Icarus,
With winged arms outstretched.
Impatient, eager to fly
Into your new domain, the sky.
You will one day soar
And find your place
Among the stars.
Remember this Daedalus' prayer
When you are master of the air.
