I WANT TO BE WITH YOU

I want to be with you,
see the sun rise in your eyes,
share sunset as it droops
below the horizon of your lids.

I want to hold you,
defy time with every embrace,
your fingers pleach in mine,
kisses race across your face.

Some one has yet to invent
a scale for love. Infinity tried,
but defeated cried:
Let love its own measure be,
its fringe the outer edge of eternity.
